Our Two Product Lines: Professional and Standard System

We are now offering two deer fencing product lines, Professional System and Standard System. We’ve designed two distinct product lines at two different price points.

WHY: Deer fencing is one of the most cost effective fence exclusion solutions available. We have been installing, maintaining and repairing deer fencing for over 30 years. We know what works and what doesn’t. There are applications and budgets for both systems,

ABOUT OUR PROFESSIONAL SYSTEM

The most important feature of our Professional System is our post and sleeve installation method. It uses a reverse sleeve which is a 5ft. - 6ft. hollow heavy gauge (ss20) galvanized pipe that is rammed into the ground using a standard post driver 2-ft. - 3 ft while 2 ft. - 3-ft. of the sleeve remains out of the ground. The fence post is then slid on top of the sleeve. A piece of hardware is attached to the reverse sleeve at ground level to keep the fence post in place. The reverse sleeve was designed by us for a couple of reasons. First, we install fence in the mid-Atlantic where much of the ground is rocky. We needed a sleeve that could be installed by hand in rocky soil. The second issue we need to solve was posts rusting out and bending or breaking after a relatively short amount of time (in as little as 5 years). We’ve been installing the reverse sleeve system for over 15 years and selling to customers for 10 years. The results are real—the system works.

The next feature of our Professional System is locking brace pipe. Our brace pipe attach to the top of the post requiring bracing—any post that has tension pulling it off of level including end, corner and gate posts. The other end of the brace pipe is attached to the bottom of the adjacent post. This system prevents the brace pipe from moving as the soil shifts or if the fence is hit.

All of our Professional Systems come standard with either two or three horizontal cable supports. Horizontal cables add a dramatic amount of strength and stability to the entire fence system. The top cable is 8 gauge, either PVC or steel core with a PVC coating. It is attached to every fence post through a hole in the metal post cap. The top cable keeps the fence tight vertically and prevents the fence from sliding down the posts. The bottom cable is also 8 gauge and generally a metal core cable is used. The bottom cable is attached to each post through an eye bolt that is attached to the reverse sleeve. This cable keeps the fence tight vertically and keeps the fence tight to the ground so deer and rodents can’t lift the fence to go under. A third, middle cable is standard in our Professional System kits over 6 ft. The middle cable adds strength to the overall system because it is installed at the deer impact zone. It can also be used to support bottom metal chew guard fence in poly systems.

ABOUT OUR STANDARD SYSTEM

Our Standard System is a removable fence post system. A 2.5’ crimped ground sleeve is rammed flush into the ground and the fence post is inserted 1 ft. into the sleeve. End and corner posts are installed the same way and an angled brace pipe is attached to the top of the end or corner post. The bracepipe is then buried in the ground. We recommend adding cement to help prevent the brace from shifting over time.

For a removable fence system, poly fence is attached to the posts using cable ties. For a more permanent fence solution, a top horizontal tension cable is added.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT THE STANDARD SYSTEM

Our Standard System is cost effective and upgrades can be added as needed for each situation. The fence system is removable! This is the ultimate seasonal fencing solution. The system is easy to install with soft and manageable soil.
